Today we are featuring a new type of offered painting entitled Pet Portraits! Love your animal friend? Love Renaissance portraits and paintings? Combine the two and have a forever memorial to your loved one. These are available in acrylic and oil paints as well as stretched and flat canvas. The style of the portraits will be along the lines of Theodore Gericault's The Head of a White Horse painted in 1815 which I replicated as an assignment in a Painting Course at Ball State University. This assignment was a study meant to look at the process and fine detail spent on an artist's painting. Each student chose a painting to replicate by sight.
This painting shows a base idea of the portrait you will be receiving of your animal. A high quality image of your pet is required when ordering this type of painting. Please ask if you have any questions or interest in a Pet Portrait.
